Real Madrid 3 - Marseille 0 (Champions League)
After a goalless first half at the Bernabeu, Real Madrid took control of the game with OM on the hour mark. Cristiano Ronaldo broke the deadlock befitting from a mistake from French keeper Mandanda with a cheeky low finish, and Ronaldo was then brought down in the box by former Charlton man Souleymane Diawara, with Kaka scoring from the spot as Marseille were reduced to 10-men. Marseille were then opened up for the third time in five minutes as Cristiano Ronaldo tapped in the third.
