Real Madrid 3 - Tenerife 0 (La Liga)



After a surprising goalless first half in the Bernabau, Karim Benzema head home an Alonso cross minutes after the restart and Benzema soon claimed his second as the Tenerife defence began to fall to pieces. Kaka scored the third in the 78th minute with a cracking strike into the corner.

Villareal 0 - Real Madrid 2 (La Liga)



It took Cristiano Ronaldo just 120 seconds to break a Real Madrid record of being the first Los Blancos player to score in the first four straight La Liga games. He made history by cutting in from the left and firing a low shot into the Villarreal near post. The Yellow Submarine were sunk in the 33rd minute as Gonzalo Rodriguez picked up his second yellow card for a rash challenge on Kaka. Real battered down the Villareal goal at the start of the second half without success. Eventually Real did double their lead after the hosts had given away a penalty, Kaka dispatching the spot kick.

Real Madrid 5 - Xerez 0 (La Liga)



Cristiano Ronaldo opened the scoring in the first minute with a trademark run and low finish with his right foot. It took until the last 15 minutes for Real to put real gloss on the scoreline, Ronaldo got his second with a powerful header, Guti continued his fine recent scoring run and in the dying minutes Karim Benzema and Ruud van Nistelrooy reminded Pellegrini of their finishing prowess.

FC Zürich 2 - Real Madrid 5 (Champions League)



After he was fouled just outside the box, Cristiano Ronaldo slammed an unstoppable free-kick into the Zurich net and paid back a small slice of his world record transfer fee. Raul grabbed the second from close range seven minutes later and on the stroke of half time Gonzalo Higuain all but finished off the game as a contest with the third for Real. A debatable penalty, fired home by Xavier Margairaz brought the home side back into the match on 64 and a minute later the comeback was truly on when Sylvan Aegerter headed home. But late goals from Cristiano Ronaldo and Guti restored the three goal advantage.

Espanyol 0 - Real Madrid 3 (La Liga)



Real took the lead over Espanyol six minutes before half time, Esteban Granero set up a superb one-two to break into the box and finished in style. Guti shot home a second 13 minutes from time and Cristiano Ronaldo grabbed a third in injury time.
